firday night around 10:30pm im standing in the check out line at walmart lol
when i get a call from paul (deadroots) asking if it was down to go fishing in the morning.. well we decided on irvine lake and that i would pick up geordy (geordybass) at 4am and head to paul's house to jump in his car and head to the lake. fast forward 6;20am we get to the lake i go to the tackle shop to say my hellos and grab a bag of ice when i see this cooler seating in front of the door with 15+lb dink seating in it lol :ROFL: by the way very impressive fish omar. fast forward ... we troll passed tout island and head over towards the dam for nothing then on the right side of the dam i get hit and bring the fish in a nice 1.5lb-2lb.. the we troll some mo and geordy hooks up and brings it in but manages to tangle with pauls line and losses the fish at the net.
then we troll some mo and decide we need to make a beer run so back to the tackle shop we go after grabbing a few beers and shooting the shiiit with the staff we head back and figure lets bait and wait :Wink: around noon i put on a whole pink and white lip reeper worm on and some garlic power bait and cast it out and get ready to take a nap when my 500 size reel starts screaming (the drag was way loos because i was getting ready to take a nap):ROFL: after tightening the drag a bit i started to hose the fish in when i realized how nicely my rod was bent :Shocked: so im joking around telling the guys look at my bendo not thinking of i might have a big fish on.. once i see color i cant believe my eyes all i could say was big fish get the net and my reel started screaming again this time with the drag tightened i tighten it some more then i regret it and lessen it:ROFL: and start braking the reel with my finger a few times because i was close to getting spooled well after 5 or 6 good runs the fish came to the boat and paul netted the fish.
we fished that spot for another hour for no bites at all and decided to troll for the rest of the day and got another 2lb fish on the troll and that was it for the day.
troll fish came on the pink sc shinner
and the reason for me to use the pink & with lip reeper worm with garlic power bait is because that's what big fish crave! lol :ROFL: naw its because they where next to me and i was to lazy to move and grab something else :ROFL:
