Partners in crime for the day were none other then Yamafish & Ladyfish.
Gameplan: Tourney 12-19-09: Go for gold or bust  Leave all bait at home. Troll, Troll then Troll some more. Use big baits expecting less strikes but a better grade and hopefully a money fish. :BFish: Limit the trolling areas and work a zone hard.
Conditions: Mild temperature with some sunshine -Gusty winds 5-10 with decent 3-5 feet visability. Lots of boat pressure. Surprisingly we only got our lines cutt once which resulted in 4 lures lost  Other then that very pleasing trolling zones.
Techniques: Trolling speed 1.80 to 1.95 in 35-40 FT of water. Meter showing bigger units holding at 20-25 feet. Using Big Crainkbaits scented with secret sauce -size 7. All flatlined on 4-6lb mono running down to 10-15 feet deep.
Fishing area: UNDISCLOSED area :Secret: 6:30am to 1:00pm
Total "Team" Fish Count - NO Money Fish landed.
(10) Bows 1lb - 2.11 lbs
(2) Farmed appeared to be 2lbs each
(1) Toad -Lost at the net :Angry:est 6 lbs
(1) Holdover Trout :???: Jimmy?
There was without a doubt a pattern out there and fish holding in sevral areas. At one point I had what i beleived was an easy money fish.
This thing was fighting like it was no tommorrow. It was like fighting an underwater PITTBULL  By far the hardest fighting trout i have caught in sometime after sevral minutes we were finally able to see it.. I couldnt believe my eyes  It was like a 1 -1 1/2 lb trout...
I told Jimmy about it at and he asked did ya see the tail? Didnt think about what he was getting at till later. Could it be a holdover? I heard mention of that the vine is actually having a few holdovers showing up from time to time..
BBQ and Deep fried Turkeys with Team 57 after the event. Great event and great people. Was great seeing ya Yamafish, Ladyfish, TroutDog, Omar, Wess, Daryl, Sue, Hitts, Big Daddy, Noho & Others.
