12/18/09 Great fishing at the Vine

What a day of fishing it has been at the lake today. Tons of limits where being caught and some big fish made their way up to the scales. With the weather perfect for trout fishing this weekends tournament should be one to remeber.

Ryan Murrietta of Orange trolled his way to this 11.04 Rainbow while trolling from Trout Island to the Flats. The big bow bit a CD07 in the Brook Trout pattern. Great fish Ryan.

Ryan also mangaged a limit with his freind Bobby Caledron also limiting. All their fish where taken while trolling. Here is the duo with their catch.

Andrew Manne of San Dimas caught this 10.0 Rainbow also while trolling. However, his fish bit a SC Shiner on the West Shore.

John Regier of Temple City bested this 7.12 Rainbow while trolling a Kastmaster by the dam.

Look at this stringer but up by Jimmy Juarez, Jesus Juarez, Mike Mata, and Isahia Mata all of Coachella.

Saehoon Hong of Garden Grove managed to get the multi species stringer today with a couple of cats and two trout. All of his fish where taken on nightcrawlers while on the west shore.

Excellent report! I just hope all you guys didn't catch all the fish, 'cause I'm heading down tomorrow, going trout fishing at the Vine for the first time in five years or so. I just hope The Skunk takes the day off on Saturday.
