I was wondering whats a decent shore (long handled) trout net.

I am sick of the cheap nylon ones and was going to check out the ones made of rubber.

Any ideas of brands/models?

The rubber ones are great for C&R, but I have heard that fish are sometimes able to jump out of them, lol. You could try one of the mesh nets. They look pretty good.

Fra-Bill makes a very good long handled, wide mouth net. Mines landed several 10lb trout and is still going strong. It has very fine mesh (not knotted nylon) too, so you can CPR fish without splitting the tail or fins. Good for halibut on the jetties too.

Big 5 and Sports Chalet sell the long handled rubber netted ones for pretty cheap.

The long handle nets at sports chalet are good, with nylon netting.
any lure with more than one hook makes a mess on nylon nets.
i picked up a rubber net at big 5,has been great,no snagging hooks on nylon, and i dont end up with a hole in the net.
