If your in San Diego or want to make the trip go to Anglers Edge they run a great shop and have Shad and shiners also

That's cool.If I get down that way, I'll look them up.I'm near Long Beach,so I was hoping for something around here if possible.I remember Sav-on occassionally had them & I thought Rainbow bait too,but neither now.Thanks for the info.

The cheapest would be to find them at an Asian supermarket. They sell by the pound, not by the number/dozen like a sport/tackle store.

Your from lakewood the market on westminster and brookhurst next to tarket in the city of garden grove have them 4 bucks a pound. If not there there is a resturaunt across the street that is called Boiling Crab they also sell them right about 4 buck a pound. Call them ahead of time to tell them you want small ones for fishing and they will pick them out for you. You get like 3-5 dozen for the price of a pound. You should also order a couple pound cooked they are delicious cajun style.
