Hello Ron,
Well it's Thursday and I knew i would be reading your report today...:Big Grin:

Looks like it was a good day fishing for the boat, in general.
I need to ask a question. When using shrimp do you mean store bought type or ghost shrimp?
Next question, if you don't mind? You seem to go fishing alot, so why not just buy a lifetime license. If I understand it correctly, you would end up saving money in the long run.
Well, thanks for the report and pics and I look forward to next Thursday..

Hi murrieta angler,

Thank you for your kind comments.

Yes ... if I used meat on my plastics ... I'm sure I'd have done fairly well. The regular Shrimp is usually bought frozen at one of the asian markets. I love Ranch 99 and mine is located near Pioneer and Artesia. I think Ghost Shrimp would be a waste the way the Perch attack everything !!

Ah ha !! You mean to say you didn't read every single word, in it's intended context, of my report and scrutinize every picture with a magnifying glass ?! :) At the end of the DFG aside I have a pic of my lifetime license in its' holder and mentioned I got my 2010 license in the mail... as that's how one gets it yearly ! just kidding ... actually I've had the FULL lifetime license for 10 years and now I am fishng for free in California the rest of my life !!

Again, appreciate your input and enjoy knowing of your generous following,

JapanRon

Hi TUNAVIC,

Thanks for the input. Yes, George runs the boat regularly on Sundays and Mondays. I'm pretty sure his deck and or cook is usually Cliff.

That landing is so easy (maybe too easy) for me to get to and there are no surprises from either the office, the regulars, Victory or Southern Cal crew, and or even commute/traffic. If it was any less easy, I'd probably do what 'I should do' and kinda bounce around to sample the landings' fishing up and down the coast. That would certainly be more interesting to my readers.

Although the idea of a 'home' boat is ok for an old guy like me, I'm hoping for some of those of the younger generation (such as the young guys fishing the 'San Diego' as an example) would go about hitting various landings and experiences the entire range of SoCal moo-moo fishing.

Thanks for the report! I'm one of the people that reads your reports but doesn't reply to it~ I suppose I don't want to wear out the "thanks". Anyhow, that's an interesting lead head you found. I'm certainly curious about them. Any thoughts on how this lead head might interfere with the action of the plastics?
Again, Thank You!

Hi kozaki,

A hi, hello, or thank you .... can never to overused in this often cold, cold world.

Yes !! The plastic that was used with it was an elongated fishy that reminded me of a stick, senko, or JerkIt style bait. For that reason .... I wouldn't use it myself.

On another vien ... putting a whole dead bait might be another way to fish the leadhead.
