You guys don't know anything. Everyone knows the best christmas song of all time is Nat King Cole singing, "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire"

Close second would be Bing Crosby's "White Christmas" and can't forget that duet with David Bowie of "Little Drummer Boy"... perhaps that was not so climatic, but I liked the idea of old Crosby and modern Bowie getting together. Then, I really like the various randitions of "Baby It's Cold Outside". Then, I always love hearing Brenda Lee sing "Jingle Bell Rock"
How can one have a favorite when there are so many great songs to choose from?

I'm a little bit of a jazzophile, and when it comes to Xmas music that I actually like, Vince Guaraldi comes to mind.
You might not recognize the name, but he's the genius composer / pianist behind the classic Charlie Brown / Peanuts stuff. If you watched Charlie Brown, then you'll recall: "O'Tannenbaum", "Christmas Time is here", and "Skating".
Here's "Skating": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yKS1vqCTr34

I'm with Grannyfish, there is no one "best" song in my book. Besides, how can you think of Xmas music without a little "white christmas" from The Bird, or the Duke's "Jingle Bell's"...the list goes on.

I know it's called "The Christmas Song" ... do you? White C was at one time the all time number one single ever sold ... may still be ... not just those that are Christmas songs

Went into Rite Aid in October to buy a big box of cheap beer and they already had Christmas stuff on the shelf right next to the Halloween junk.

Not sure about the favorite song, but I like to put on Enya's Christmas album on during the holidays. I love the whole record.
