Walking da dog -striped bass at Skinner

Today at the crossroads between DVL and Skinner
I decided to fish the minis, I'm too old for the big stripers:rolleyes: JK
nah. we sent Rambo to Skinner and he came back with Trout ..WTF:mad:
so the godfather had to go over and do the job...
LOL

Lots of striped bass in the mini size and some at around 6 pounds boiled today
I released like 10 and kept 5 for tonite's striper tortilla soup
and because the treble hooks cause lots of damage, it was bad:(

Anyway the Ramp one was a ghost-town and the mini striper point
was a desert, nobody was there, as I turned around the corner I saw why,
the ramp 2 was loaded with fisherman and elbow to elbow birds snacking on shad,

the action was ON TOP, so I took the dog for a walk, poppers in white
and zara spooks puppy, and 4 inch models went to work on 6 pound test line
" first string" Izorline, almost at every cast and the doggie got slammed

some fish missed the hit, they're dumb so slow it down a bit, wham!
I called it a day at around 10:30 and went home,

CHINGAU!!! you are always kill them stripers man. I've only tried for stripers a couple times at D.V. with. no luck. Just largies, but better than skunkage. I'll be heading back next weds. for another shot at some stripers. Maybe i'll see you there.

That day Taco went to fishing and he called me through the text message cell phone. He said that he caught striped bass on anchovy or chicken liver "bait-n-wait", LOL LOL LOL

The striper was careless attacking everything
so it was very easy but lots of fun on the spooks
too bad I was fishing solo and Had to go home early
because I had to work that day
the shad will die off and the wild bite will shut off
take advantage of the days before and after the storms
as BM pressure changes release the fun

I got one more fishng day before leaving to mexico and vertical fish
the yellowtail at San Carlos

Nice town mostly Americans and lots of east coast fisherman come to fishing school to San Carlos
