Nice website, Thanks. Click on a ship and get more details/pics.

The problem with the wrecks is most of those have been down so many years that there is not much left.

Look at The Dominator at Rocky Point.

The Dominator lies off Pt. Vicente in a shallow area with heavy kelp. Despite its recent wrecking, the Dominator's hull has long ago been pounded into smaller pieces. All that remains of her hull is the forepeak of her hull which was thrown up on the beach. Her triple-expansion engine remains upright and breaks the surface of the water during low tide or high surf'/swell. A few large pieces of the wreck remain, some of which have recognizable features, such as those shown below.

Date of Sinking: March 13, 1961
Rig/Type:WWII Liberty Ship (Freighter)
Cause of Sinking: Stranding
Length: 441'
Breadth: 57'
Tons: 7,176
Cargo: Wheat and beef
Location: Rocky Point, Palos Verdes

Check this website and pics showing the grounding and later 1986 pics.

Not much of 7176 tons of steel left in 2009.

The Palowan of Redondo is a more recent 1977 sinking and should be more complete in the deeper 110' depth.
DR

Due to modern day electronics we will see less and less wrecks. Bummer.

It's cool the see what some of the spots look like you have fished. The Isle of Redondo was anchored up on the Sacramento and also over the Palawan.
