The trout fishing at the lake has been very good and with the first major front of the year set to pass through some of the bigger fish went on the chew. Anglers found their quarry along the west shore, woodys cove, and in the flats. The hot baits for bait and wait anglers was anything with a nightcrawler pretty much, and chrt powerbait. As for trollers the SC Shiners in Bubblegum, Gold Orange, And Matte Fire where red hot.

Bill Carlson of Orange checked in this beautiful 11.12 Rainbow that ate a casted CD03 Rapala in the Gold and Black pattern. Bill was fishing the West Shore when the lunker salmoniod bit.

Ricardo "Lizardfish" Zepeda of Santa Ana bested this 10.6 Rainbow in boat dock cove while fishing a dropshotted trout worm. Congratulations Lizardfish.

Roy Goddy of Chino Hills also got into the big fish parade with this 7.6 Rainbow that ate an undisclosed lure while in Sierra Cove.

Micheal Tomita of Lake Forest has fishing in his blood, he is our very own Timsters nephew, and proved it with this beautiful 3.8 Rainbow that ate a Pink Thomas Buoyant while trolling mid lake.

Vineassist,

I see four, count them four fish!
Indeed they are nice fish, although tails would be nice!
That's four fish for how many hundreds of fishermen?
Not seeing many posts!
As a matter of fact, I'm guessing the lake was full of fishermen on Saturday, but I see
NO posts!
That's because most of the fishermen are NOT catching any fish!
Facts are facts!
Very disappointed so far...............
The quality and quantity of fish the last two years is very, very poor.
My two cents.

if you really want to show people the bite is good post pics of stringers of fish. not just 4 big fish...... maybe do what "other" pay lakes do and give $2 off admission passes to people who take pics with there stringers. sure the staff is friendly and the view is nice but to pay admission to look at water and talk to nice people isnt the way to keep customers coming back. theres alot of FNN members right now seeking "richer" waters.
