Me and my bros went fishing!!!

Me, Barry, Al and Rex decided that the best way to work off the calories from Thanksgiving was to get out to Perris and ABUSE some bass....

And Abuse the bass we did!!!!
We all met at my house at 6:45 am and piled in the truck and headed over to Perris. They opened the gate at just before 7am and by about 7:15 we were in the water.
Our plan for the day was simple....HAVE FUN!!!! We also teamed up me and Barry against AL and Rex... the wager was simple...10 bucks for the biggest 3 bass limit. Not alot of money, just enough to provoke trash talk all day. As I said...this day was all about having fun with the boys....

So we launch the boat and I take us to our starting spot..

As soon as we get there I put down the trolling motor and its GAME ON!! My screen lite up with bass... I tell the boys....This spot is loaded and they look active..
Within a couple casts AL is on...and on a BIG ONE!!!
He fights the bass and brings it next to the boat where he lips the huge Perris bass.. (we werent allowing nets..he had to lip it) :Big Grin:
He set the bar high by catching that bass as it weighed just over 8 lbs.. Good start for them....I guess.lol

To make a long story short... We caught bass all day but the big bass of the day was ALs big girl.
We left in the early afternoon with over 25 bass caught between us..
Most of our fish were between 3-4 lbs....and our best 5 bass was somewhere around 24-25 lbs..
Oh and Barry also caught a big 15+ lb carp that he accidently snagged. He fought it for about 5 mintues and we thought we had our own donkey...as it turned out...we were the donkeys...hahahaha...
All of our bass were caught using reaction baits in 30 40 ft of water....

Al and Rex ended up winning the dough because that big one Al caught....
Nice job fellas!!! No better way to spend Black Friday in my opinion!!!!

Guys, this is what you are missing out on if you arent giving me a call and coming out to Perris on a guide trip with me...

How do you get reaction baits down 30-40ft. I assume you mean crankbaits or jerkbaits, none of mine go that deep.

Deep water reaction baits....heavy underspins, spoons, weighted swimbaits And the Basstar Dredger...which is a crankbait made by Basstar that is weighted and you can fish it in any depth you desire...

Tea Set..craft supplies..hahahaha That made me laugh out loud Husker...lol

VMAN... look up Basstarbaits.com Look for the "Dredger", they come in 3 colors...You can run that crankbait in 35-45 with no problem.
