since im at my parents house in ventura for thanksgiving, decided to hit the beach to do some perchin since it has been disgustingly slow fishing up in the SLO area. Strong uphill current, clear cool water, not too much salad. Found an area where the current was actually swirling and heading back downhill, kind of like a huge eddy. Ended up catching about 15 perch, 12 being dinks of the dink class...like little 3-4 inchers and 3 in the 9-11 inch range. strange that i didnt get any in that in between range. no pics as everyone on this board has seen run of the mill surf perch about a billion times, that and i don't own a camera that i'd be willing to take to the surf.
