Wes and I decided to head out to Corona again so he could launch the SS Fish Cat for its maiden voyage. We get to the lake about 5:45 and finally got through the gate at 6:45. That line moves SLOW!

I'm in the water by 7am and kicking out to the trees. There were several boats doing pretty well on some kind of dough bait. For me, splitshotting orange and pink plastics was the ticket. Ended up with 5 rainbows and a monster tilapia that went over 2.5lbs. No giants this time, but ended up with a 13lb stringer.

About mid-morning I get bit good and the fish instantly wrapped me up. I got out of the tube and walked over to where the line was wrapped and had to stomp a stump. I don't know how, but I actually got the line free and was rewarded with my biggest of the day. He went about 3.5.

All in all, it was a fun day. Thanks for coming out Wes! Feel free to share your experience in your new tube.

Good times as always Daryl! BTW Sam, the tube worked out quite well, and I really enjoyed myself.

I farmed quite a few nice fish that day, and had a 3#r come out of the bottom of my basket. I made a temp repair with a couple of big Snaps, but I have to fix it right before heading out again. I had a 5 or 6 #'r come unbottoned right at the tube as I was starting to kick back. Can't wait to take out the FC4 again! Ended up with 2 quality fish.
