Well I just want to say thank you all for kept their word and participated in our "Unofficial Turkey Bowl 2" event! It was great! I also want to thank everyone for donating gifts to raffle off.Thank you Jimmy from the Irvine staff for helping us out! I also want to thank Troutdog for being my number 1 wingman for setting this gathering up! Special shotout to BigDaddy,and Bigdaddy Banks for doing a great job cooking! Best ribs I ever had! Clean fresh fish dep fried with that special batter !The best on the spot home made coleslaw I ever had! Everyone was happy! Everyone caught fish ! Another special shot out to to Trolly !! For taking the Candyman crew out and put them all on some fish at the " Spot!!"
Camped out friday night with Primo and his crew.About 15-20 of us camped out and went to sleep at about 2am.We dranked a few brews,ate some great carne,and listened to some music we all grew up on as kids.
Koshaw and Fred his their limits!!

Hung out until 2am and called it a night.Woke up at 5:50am and it was time to take over Trout Island.It was great.All u seen was Team57 members all lined up for the rush! I will let the video's tell the action !!

Oh my...it was a farm war! Everyone was losing fish! I farmed 2 myself.
Mondo21 farmed 2,Sue farmed 2,Candyman farmed 2.I mean the fish were spitting plastics out left n right.I even read other reports were the fish were spitting.All the fish we caught had full tails and all.Nothing big came out,but a steady bite was on.Here is the TurkeyBowl 2 Trophy!!

Well once again thanks to everyone who made it another great gathering!
Total in attendance was from 40-45 Fnn'ers! Also...we met a young man at the age of 14...Ammo I call him.But I think his name on Fnn is ...I dunno I forgot...lol
I invited him and his familt down to the bar b que and raffle and come out and meet everyone.They did.I helped him out on Trout island to get him on his forst Irvine lake fish! Game him some tips and here's his result!!

Awesome report Hitts... Looked like ya all had a weekend ya wont forget. Was great seeing some of ya on the water.. I was testing a boat that day but did manage to see my buddy Mav and the new champion noho in his Crestliner doing his magic... To bad i had to leave early to go to work.. Looks like i missed all the best part... Props on making a great event seccussful.

What was the weight of the winning trout? Congrats Noho

To Everyone who did not or would not or could not show up for the Turkey Bowl 2. It was a GREAT! Good people,good Friends, and new Members. Fishing was so so. The Trout we all caught was on the small size. Team 57 Members make up for the short comings of the Trout size,but still good eating. Omar proved that with his fresh out of the water fish fry. It was delicious! Thanks Omar. I'm still wating for the secret recipe batter. Omar gave me one ingredient,but promised to tell all. I'm getting ahead of myself... I got to Irvine at 6:10 am Saturday morning. I said great,there won't be any lines, WRONG! The lines moved pretty quick. I met Mitz in the parking lot, he shook my hand. I did see Timster also, but he was so busy. Called Hitts to see where he was. He was on Trout Island along with Trout Dog.
Stopped by the shop to pickup 2 breakfast Burritos. Mitz had made his way in and was about to eat his breakfast and then Timster stopped by to say Hi to me. Another Member sat by me and said hello who sat left of me, sorry Guy forgot your name. It was good to be back fishing at Irvine and seeing ole Friends. I did miss one person that is no longer there and that was Patrick aka TM65. Miss you Patrick.
On my way to Trout Island. Hitts,TroutDog,Sue showed up minutes after me, Koshaw, and a new person to me, Fred and a couple of other peeps I met,but can't recall the names.
They slept there overnight. They were already set up and was catching fish. We had a good time as usual. Jimmy,Mitz,and Timster stopped by.Trolly parked his boat got out and chated with us. Maverick ,Omar and Big Daddy pass trolling by.
Fast Foward... Thanks to the Peeps who came to the picnic and contributed to the raffle and the food given for the BBQ.
The BBQ was going good Trolly was on the grill. We had marinated chicken,marinated in Soy Vay. Hamburgers, cookies,brownies, asst. drinks,Fried Trout from Omar,delicious ! I met a couple of Guys who ate with me and we had a good converstation, sorry Guys,forgot your names, but they gave the cookies and brownies.
A couple of days before Turkey Bowl, I invited this New Member to come out, and T.D. also invited him. I knew nothing of this new Member,but he seem to be very nice on the Thread. He said he may come by. We started the BBQ and listening to Trolly's stories,laughing and having fun. Then...
This bigger than LIFE Person showed up and started pulling out SLABS and SLABS and MORE SLABS of RIBS and threw them on the grilled,they were already cooked,he was warming them up and he took this large bowl of COLE SLAW and started mixing it up. We couldn't wait to dig in! I said who are you?! He said "BIG DADDY!!!"
I had a big smile on my face. I think I shook his hand. I talked to Big Daddy in between him flipping all those ribs. Nice man that made a BIG Bang with all of us. Not just because of the BEST RIBS and COLE SLAW I've ever eaten,but he is a sweet heart to boot. Thanks To all and a SPECIAL BIG THANKS TO A BIG HEARTED GUY. Welcome to our Team 57 Family "BIG DADDY".

What a great event with awesome people!! I had a great time. It was nice to see how warm and fuzzy everyone was with the twins also. This team is like family!! I appreciate all the hard work from Hitts and TD as well as the cooks and helpers, Trolly, BigDaddy and Jimmy and the Vine staff. Thanks for all the work for us to have fun!!!!!!! Hey Cindy, that was me and "Just Pete" as he is now known that brought the browies. And they were nothing compared to the ribs and that fried fish. Best fish nuggets I have ever tasted.

Great to meet everyone at the pot luck and awesome time afterward at the campfire. Good conversation, lot of banter and just a lot of fun. Glad everyone stopped by our campsite.

Hitts and TD, thanks for setting this all up. Looking forward to future events. I will get my fishing report posted up soon.

What a fun event,where do i begin. Thanx troutdog and hits for puuting it on.Weigh too much fun allday.It was fun fishing next to fishincrave and son and his brother mike. Nohoart and crew on the otherside. Got to luve beong suronded with armenians on either side. Well i swear this is true. Fishingcrave and brother and crew heard me say if i ruib my head i will get a fish. First time i rubbed within one second bendo was detected and i got a fish. Later they said try again. Rubbed got hit right away again. Twenty minutes later they said try again ,rubbed my ahir and bingo. It was one of days were you do nothing wrong. Eight pound line siaze twelve treble ,old powere bait.We laughed and laughed. Candyman and crew were with me and we were having fun. Later i met angler dan and just pete,they were a great bunch.Then after meeting all the regulars i met the ffn new member of the year.I was prevliged to meet BIG DADYY

Hey Thanks to everyone that I met at the turkey bowl. You guys are truly the best everone told me that whenever your around the trolmiester all you do is have a good time and laugh it is true from the time I met you my friend untill I left it was just 1 big laugh fest. Thanks for the kind words. Mondo 21 I really had a great time meeting you and next time you are going to the lake please let me know I would really like to fish with you (either we can get in my boat or I will beach it and would like to fish with you guys) you are a great person we were laughing so hard. I really like to fish as well as I like to eat and after being at the potluck I can see that all my new friends at Team 57 like to eat as hard as they like to fish. 2 quik I have been telling everyone about that fish my friend, absolutly the best as they say back home you really put your (foot) into that fish. Thanks to everyone that was involved You have all made fishing at the vine even that much better. TD your daughter is a little sweetheart she was so kind to me. I know that your really proud of her and you should be, your blessed to be able to be out ther fishing with her. Please tell her thanks. It was nice meeting you to sue I hope to fish with you this season. Mr Bendo sorry you had a rough start at the cafe trying to get pancakes and eggs. Hopefully we can fish big bear you let me know and we can go in my boat or even next time at the vine maybe we can try the troll. Hitts & TD,
Congrats on an XLNT get together. I was real bummed I missed out but your mom kept me informed about how xlnt the event was going, especially the eats.

Cindy (Mondo21), girl that was just wrong sending me a pix of all those rack of ribs when I had been working hard around the house and was tired and hungry...:Evil::ROFL:. Sure sounded like yet another fun 57 get together. Can't wait to make my next event. I love Team57 events, fishing, family, fun and oh yeahhhhh!!! FOOD. Everyone who attends the events always brings superb dishes and the eats are always xlnt. Congrats to all who attended and had a good time, especially the newcomers, Welcome, welcome.

BIGDADDY sounds like he is a much welcomed member, many words were expressed at how incredibly nice and generous he was and how folks were floored when he pulled out those racks of ribs.

It was a BLAST!!!!!!! I will get my pics up tomorrow as I've been sick the last couple days, but it was definitely fun times and I'm soooooooo glad I went!!!

A massive thank you to Hitts and TD for laying on this event, and it was wonderful meeting Big Daddy (oh, those ribs were awesome!!) and seeing all the usual friends!

first of i would like to thanks TD and hitts for having the get together.
even though fishing wasn't the greatest we had a ball i have asked my older bro to come along and my son ( half n half ) asked me if we were going lol .
All i can say great time was had at BBQ Big Daddy thanks for Ribs man they were awsome, great meeting you hope see ya soon.
