2.50 DAY / ALBACORE 7/1-7/4

We left Point Loma @ 10:00 pm sun. and by morning we were at about 65 miles south of the landing . I was fishimg on the boat GRANDE , great crew and boat , as i fished this boat before . the morn. was a little slow as exspected after a full moon , but at about 1:00 we were at about 80 miles and all heck broke out on the albies. . i caught the first fish of the day trolling a little mexican flag , but the hot troll feather was the little blue/white jet head . we were fishing chovies 1-2 size hooks and sardines on 2/0 , the hot way for a sure bite was to fish a dine ON THE SLIDE . at about 3:30 we hit one stop alone for 100 fish , at day end of day one we had 221 fish on board , the second day we fished and by 5:00 pm the boat had its limit of 300 albacore . I caught 17 fish and lost about 10 others [ thank god , lol ] i got 3 on the troll , 3 on the iron [ blue/white TADY 45 ] and the rest all on sardines . these pics of fish in the back of the boat are only the 221 from the first day . water was pretty calm also . the fish were between 20-30 lbs. . // db http://fishingnetwork.net/images/tmp2/IMG_0298_1_7_1.JPG http://fishingnetwork.net/images/tmp2/IMG_0305_1_7_1.JPG

I was using 30lbs. test line and getting busted off at times , great trip
