A buddy told me the flows are around 150 cubic feet per second. How is that flow rated? Low or what? Heading up there tomorrow morning for 4 days...

I consider 150 pretty good....or low.

if its the owens your asking about...that will make access easy....but you wont find too many large browns ...they get spooked easy when its that low....by large i mean around 18" and up....for that river

I just realized I seem to catch all my larger fish when the Owens is high and hard as hell to fish.
It's a lot funner at low flow!

Well, I'll find out tomorrow morning how high that flow is. I'm sitting in my motel room in Bishop sippin on a rum and coke and watching Oregon vs. Arizona on the TV. Hittin PVR in the morning. Damn.....it doesn't get much better than this!!!!!!!

As of this morning, flows are 125 CFS which is low. I'll take that anyday over 500 plus CFS.

Had breakfast at Jack's and went into Mac's. The guy confirmed the low flow and said the fishing is good the further you go up river. I'm going to watch the Chargers beat Denver and then fish Monday and Tuesday when hopefully everyone else leaves.

So I get down to the Owens river off of Line St. only to be greeted by what the Weather Channel is calling 22 MPH winds from the north with 33 MPH gusts!! Blowing dirt in my eyes that also played serious havoc with my line!! I walked up and down looking for wind protected pockets but just too much wind. I will try again tomorrow but this time at PVR. I was wondering how the will affect the reservoir if it is up again tomorrow?
