Irvine Lake 11-15-09 Veterans Day Tournament Limit

My Dad and I went out to the lake once more in search of another big fish and also a nice limit. We ended up accomplishing one of those tasks...

Go TEAM 57!!!!

Its always good seeing my Team 57 buddies out there, to name a few I had conversations with.. Doctorhook, 2Quick, Troutdog, Bruce Watson and also to all the others that were out there, good seeing you all!

Since the troll was so productive on the Trout Opener, my Dad and I decided to troll again, and we ended up sticking to that for the entire day.

The goal we accomplished was obviously the limit of fish! Better Luck next time in trying to catch the big one!

Just a note: There was no pattern to what the fish were hitting on. We had to start "digging deep" to get on some fish. We tried it all from Buoyants to Mirashads. We ended up trolling the ENTIRE LAKE to get our limit.

Nice! I had my brother and nephew out same day and caught fish almost everywhere. Trolled up one, but hard to troll with three guys in the boat so we anchored and fished top and bottom. Worms under bobbers took 2/3 of our limits, worms on the botom the rest. We had a big fish, DD for sure maybe 15, jump a couple of times just outside of our fishable zone. Couldn't talk her into lunch, though. Not even a morsel of garden hackle.
We were the only ones for half a mile around, had the area all to oursleves. Lots of fish out there.
