the high was at 8:32 6.3' the low at 3:49 -.7' water was flat as a lake, clear water, no wind perfect for the LC. so i tie on a Flash minnow 95MR salty chrome within 30 min. fist Hali at 18 in. 15 minutes later the second caught a total of 5 but no legal it was the best hali day I had all year. I wish I could get out in the surf again! Too bad the beach is 1 hr away, so I am stuck to bass fishing most of the year. What kind of rod, reel, and line do you like to use with the LC? I found an LC at my local Sport Chalet for the first time. They just got one and I was looking for one when I was going to go surf fishing, but I never found one until now. I guess they just got it. I could only dream of catching 5 halibut, lol.

hey spooks...how do you work that LC? do you wade out in the water? reel fast or slow? do you pause? cast straight out or parallel with the shore?

any info helps. i was sort of thinking of trying it out. GREAT REPORT, looks like a ton of fun!

since the LC has a built in action, I just crank fast enough to get the action out of the lure, I do pause it for 2 seconds or so, just not on every cast. I also twitch it if the water is flat enough.
is a reaction lure so I got to find out what makes them react to it.
as for the casting, I fan cast the lure from right to left trying to cover as much water as possible at a decent pace. as far as wading I don't go to far in, since most of the time they are less than 25 feet out. knee deep is far enough for me. if the fish are there you shouldn't have to do much they will bite.
anyways good luck out there hope i answer all your Questions.
