Fished the Vine with my girls son today. Launched at 6:45 and he hooks up 5 minutes later. For someone who never fishes he was up 3-0 on me within the first hour. I finally found the right Rapala to troll and it was on. We got 6 in the boat and lost two each. All fish were in the 1.5lb to 2lb range. The bite died after 11a. Headed to the dock around 12:30 and home by 2pm. Overall a very nice day off from work.

Nice quickie. So what Rapala was working for ya? What wasn't?

The two that worked best today were a brown trout looking one and a all white one. Last week the orange belly ones seemed to work well. I tried two split body rapalas with no love and also a panther martin and huge thomas buoyant. Most fish were caught trolling the west shore.

Cool. Thanks Tizz, I'm heading out Friday. I don't think I'm going to troll this time, but I hope to in the next couple of weeks. Planning to hike down to the West Shore though for sure. Seems to be the hot spot right now

Fished today also. Fire-tiger rapalla was the ticked for me.. The west shore looked good for the bait fisherman. The bite really picked back up around 1:30 had all I wanted on the trout.

My neighbor and I also fished today. Got limits in 3 hours trolling night crawlers behind a davis lake troll. We fished the area out in front of sierra cove.

I saw you guy get bit. I was wondering what that was you were trolling.

My dad lives up in Bridgeport and he does really good trolling night crawlers also. I will give that a try next week.
