Day one of the Veterans Day tournament drew nearly 120 competitors all of which where hungry for some cash and a chance at a birth into the Master tournament. Fishing was hot from the get go as a low pressure front was on the way out! As I walked the shoreline I saw a couple of really good fish on stringers either allready caught, in the process of being caught or breaking the surface. I personally witnessed a 11lber caught from shore that was landed in dramatic fashion. However this fish was not in the tournament.
Taking big fish honors of the day was Jeff McGaha of Victrorville! Jeff made his catch from the West Shore with a 12.04 Rainbow that ate Rainbow powerbait fished from the West Shore! Congratulations Jeff!

In 2nd Place was Matt Wong of Irvine. Matt's Rainbow weighed in at 11.08 and was taken on a Shad colored Gitzette (tube jig). Matt was fishing in boat dock cove when he made the catch!

Coming in third place with a beautiful 9.08 Rainbow trout was Danny Uematsu. Danny did not provide us with any information probably because he is holding out for the Masters tourny.
Here are the rest of the winners! Pictured and listed below

Day two of the Masters tournament brought about dramatically diffrent conditions than day one. Day two contestants where greeted to an oncoming high pressure system that gave the bigger fish a little bit of lockjaw. Still the anglers where able to sctatch up a couple of better fish.
Take first place on day two of the tournament was John Gilabert of Santa Ana with a 7.02 Rainbow that ate trolled Thomas Bouyant along the Dam area.
