Little Miss and I headed out to skinner yesterday to spend a little quality time together as Tater wanted to stay home and work on the new place. Living in Corona is cool because what used to take over an hour to get to only takes 30 minutes now. We were out the door at 5:34 am and got to the lake as the gates were opening. The weather was a bit brisk but the air was calm and the water looked like glass:

As I was setting up poles, Celeste's bobber starts to dangle and like a pro lands her first striper:

After her fish, we had two other bites in the three hours we sat there so we decided to try another spot. Celeste thought this looked a little fishy so we set up shop:

Off of that dock, we must've landed over 50 baby LMBs but it was enough to keep Celeste and I busy for the rest of the day. It was fun on light tackle. I did however manage to pull a decent one out from the front of the dock:

It all ended up to be a perfect day until we were ready to leave and Celeste locked the keys in my truck. I called AAA and they said it would be over an hour before they could get someone out to unlock my truck. I told them I couldn't be in a better place to be locked out so little Miss and I hit the water again while waiting. Having used up all our N/Cs on the bass, we had to resort to PB. It wasn't long before she was on:

The tow truck guy showed up and got us in. The company was Yucaipa towing and the driver had a hookless crankbait as his keychain. We talked fish a while and then headed home where tater had Carne Asada on the grill and cold beer in the fridge.

Life was good today!

Much lower than the last time you went with us. Speaking of, she wants to go back in a couple of weeks. You down?

Good for you dad! I used to take my daughter to the pudd with me when she was 3 years old her mom didn't want to go with us. I would bring a beach sand bucket and shovel with drinks and snacks for her, she had fun out their fishing with me. Now she is 34 years old with 3 kids of her own....Yes my grand kids.

I can never get enough of reading the adventures of Little Miss and her Dad.

She has the smile of an angel and the fishing talents of a pro!

I need to get out there and fish with you Team Bullets, fresh or salt.
