Fished trout island today, pretty much a slow but consistent pick till about 2pm. All trout were stocker size, first action around my son and I was not till about 8am. Trout bit all the basics, nothing really seemed to work better than the other as far as bait goes. The only aspect in which I believe helped a little is when I pulled out the long rod, the further casting distance made the bites come a little sooner. Total for son and I, 8

I met so many people out there today, I can not even begin to even attempt
to remember them all....

Either way AWESOME trip and even more AWESOME people, cant wait to do it again soon.

Yes, you park at the upper level campgrounds and hike down. The hike does not look bad at all but very few people were over there.
