i was looking forward trout season for a while. decided last night to take my lady fishing, after reading a couple reports i thought irvine would be a good place to take her. we left the house at 6am with a few pit stops on the way. got to the lake and had all lines in the water at 730. we got our first bite at 805, my girl gets the first one of the day! the action was sporatic from like 800 til 1015 then it shut off! we ended our day with limits and we were out of there at 1200. we fished the east shore. chartreuse powerbait/ powerworm rigged carolina style did the trick. the fish we caught were all about the same size 1- 1and a 1/2 pounders no big ones today. grr!!! i guess the lake is going to get stocked tomorrow! we had a good time, it was quiet and relaxing...sorry no pics, we all know what small trout look like!!! good luck out there!!
