OWNER!!!!!

I returned the Outcast Fish Cat 4 yesterday, I didn't like that the pockets were smaller than I thought. Also the float tube itself looks small in my opinion. I know it's a great float tube, but I was looking for something more & the Outcast Fat Cat is that!

I won a bid on ebay for a mustard colored Fat Cat, not my first choice in colors, but the price was right. Won it for $199.99 plus $20 shipping. Now you can't beat that for a new float tube w/ warranty. The Fat Cat are normally $300-350??? I did good, right?

Now if this didn't fly, like I didn't win the bid; my secondary choice was to get the Creek Company ODC 420. The ODC 420 size is in between the FC4 & Fat Cat. But I would have to just deal w/ the side pockets since the air valves were right there. I'm glad I didn't have to go there & buy the ODC 420, I'm sure I would've been happy w/ that one. One site has them for $127.99.

I bought these fins at Bass Pro Shops, are these any good? Can you guys tell me the pro's & con's of this fin? They are Thruster Scuba Fins:

Now I hear from home waters, Southern California that Hot Spot float tube fins are the best. They float if they ever come off your foot. I don't know if the Thruster fins will work good....or not.

Now if any of you guys can help me out....do you have a vertical 3 or 4 rod holder that you are not using & don't want? I need it to fit on the Fat Cat. If so, please PM me & tell me how much you want for it.

Hey Ghost,

Welcome to the wonderful world of tube fishing!!!!! I see you are looking for a rod holder for your fish slaying machine......I saw this posted by catchthatTrout and thought it might help you.....

This is a really good set up.

I ordered the 3 pole rod holder from West Marine ($15.99).

Bought 12" of black pvc and 1 1/2 rubber pipe caps from hardware store.
Bought 2 black utility straps from Wal-Mart

I plan on doing alot of tubing in Newport Bay this year....if you are interested in giving it a shot let me know.

Thanks for the pics sapdawg11, great looking!

On another board, one of the members said he had an extra 4 tube rod holder that he wasn't using, I'm buying it from him. I do appreciate you showing your setup. If I didn't get any response that someone had an extra rod holder, I was going to make a 4 rod holder myself.

Is the Fat Cat easy to inflate w/ air? I am not familiar w/ that type of air valve.

I should be getting the Fat Cat tommorow, can't wait!
