Just wanted to say first that last night was cold as hell!!!!! I dont know how some of you guys go out there a couple times a week.
On to the report.
The wife wanted some lobsters and crabs. So her Cousin and I decided to take her out and see if we could score some. My brother had taken 5 of my 10 hoops, so I made due with what I had. Plus having the wife and her cousin aboard (new boat owner on his 3 voyage), I knew she and him wouldnt be able to help with pulling. So with the long night ahead (driving, pulling, baiting, dropping, etc.) we headed out to LBH.
1st set yield a ton of crab with a lot of legals in the mix but no legal lobsters.
2nd set produced more crab but this time 8 shorts and 4 legal lobsters.
3rd set produced more crabs (at this point we're throwing them back), 6 shorts, 5 legals which included a huge lobster.
4th set wasnt even dropped as the wife was freezing her bottom off.
With enough lobsters for our little get together. We headed back in with 9 legals and a ton of crabs.
- Water Temperature was 67
- 30-40 feet
- Fresh Mac
- The Moon was shining pretty bright
Back at the launch ramp, we were stopped by DFG. No sweat as all three of us had our fishing licenses and the very so important lobster card filled out. Its nice to see them out enforcing the regulations. I wish they were out more often though.
Check out the big dawg sitting in a cooler by himself with the crabs.

The Wife had some 1" thick slices of Ribeye to match with them pretty lobsters.
