Great report as always JR.

As you know, no current = no bueno for rockfishing. Then again, too much is just as bad...especially if you're fishing the relatively light weight plastics as you do. Hopefully your next trip will be met with ideal conditions.

Out of curiousity, have you ever tried putting a small chem light on your plastics rig? I met a dude down in Baja who swears by it. He uses the real small green 1 inch ones (the ones you see at walmart) right above his mogambo jigs (the 12 oz leadhead ones). He had a whole mess of good sized lings in his panga that apparently fell for them.

Weird stuff. Sunday there was NO current from 9am to 3pm !! Wednesday ... the current just raged from 9am, building even further till 3:30 !!

Whatcha gonna do !
