Vet's 1.5 day trip on the Holiday

Bouna Fortuna helped put together a trip for former Vet’s and I was lucky enough to be able to participate.

I had a geat time and made some new friends. The crew and captains were very nice people. What we lacked in fish we made up for with good company.

I would like to thank the captains and crew members who volenteered to work and take us out fishing. They sacrificed their time, so that we could have a good time out on the water. Doesn't get any classier than that!

Also thanks to The Holiday boat owner, Point Loma Sport Fishing, and the fuel and bait docks for help making this trip happen. Also thanks to who ever else who helped put this all together. Thank you!

Fishing was a bit tough. We would pull out a few skippies on the troll every hr or two. We also managed a few bait fish, some were bluefin and albicore. We also managed a yellow fin and a dorado that ate the bait of 3 fisherman. I'm not sure if they split the fish 3 ways.

I thought I would be going home with the skunk, but after dark (6PM?) I lucked out and caught 2 albicore. One was good enough to win the jackpot ($190) which I gave to the crew after paying my galley and fish cleaning tabs ($50)

Looking forward to fishing with you guys again and hopefully jump aboard the Holiday in the near future.
