Caught this guy here in the bay today.
I am not sure what kind of fish this is. Looks like yellowfin croaker.
Can you guys confirm?

Baby white seabass look kinda like that so id make sure next time cuz its a fat fine:EyePop:. But nice catch.

A heavy-bodied croaker which has a large black spot at the base of the pectoral fin.......

Right on!! That predominant SPOT gives them away every time...

The people close to me caught over 10 of these babies. Some went over 4-5 lbs.
I only caught one. Good to know what I caught. Thanks guys.

my bad.. that is a croaker.. aka sewer trout!!! hahahha

sargo would show the black stripes and bit fatter..

but anyhow.. i wouldnt eat them though.

If it were caught around san pedro, maybe. This fish is safe to eat.
