Caught this last night and have no idea what kinda eel this is please id it for me

This might be an undescribed species of Yellow Snake-Eel.

Or it could just be a yellow snake eel, fish are known to have high variation within one species.

Sometimes you catch barred surfperch that dont have the bars, just faint blotches of gold.

catch it at the pudd? i believe its a fresh water eel.

Hmm I remember talking to a few guys on a dock on Opal street, they said they caught a eel in the harbor, and that thing was snapping at him trying to buy his finger off.
