Ophichthus zophochir also known as a snake eel. Apparently there are 250 species world wide ... they have feeding habits like halibuts ... you just hopped that drop shot right over it's frckin face!

Ya just to properly beat this thread to death it is a "Yellow Snake Eel" and you know what, if I hooked this beast at 10:30 at night with low light conditions I'd just say to my buddy "Hey dude I think I pulled my back, can you get that for me?" Ha! Hey eels some good eatin' but if you caught em in the harbor then that's up to you. Don't blame me if you start glowing in the dark!

If you ever catch an American Eel, don't touch it with your bare hands! They have a really bad slime coating that is almost impossible to get off your hands! I mean it's some bad sheite! But don't worry, you won't catch any here on the west coast. But, I've heard that Hagfish are pretty bad too.
