Mirage Friday overnight with the GCLA Gals

Hopped on this charter with the gals from GCLA for a full day of fishing out at St Nich Island......Weather was beautiful and not to rough,. Slept like a baby on the way out. The two gals below won the co-jackpot since both had a hook in the biggest ling. (BTW the JP got kicked back to the great crew.)

This is one of many big, beautiful fish brought on board yesterday. Our bags were full of nice reds, chuckleheads, lings, johnnies, and whitefish. All the conditions were just perfect; the sun, the wind, and the water all made for a great day of fun and fishing. Check out these babies: I had (5) lings, everydang one of them was short and only by a 1/2 to 1 inch. Always my luck. I hooked a shark around 5-6 feet that managed to tangle everyone before he was c'red. Nasty looking thing. Got limits of big reds and white fish. I used mostly big sardines and some smaller macks for bait. They really didn't want any of the top[ water or plastics that I threw perodically throughout the day. Live bait was the ticket.

I show these hoodies since our own T57 Godfather, Dana, made them for the Ladies....This was alot of fun with a great group of fishing ladies.

No not rock season yet, but nothing else wanted to play at all!!! No birds, no boils, nada, not even the bonies wanted to play. Oh well, some days are like that, so you make the best of it.

Sure was a nice grade of fish all-round !! Sorry to hear of the 5 strikes .... and the end of the Lingcod season soooo close !!

Hi agian olfishergal,

5 male anglers intimidated ....... ha ha ha ... SOMEBODY should have clued them in that the gals ..... 8 to 80 can very often out-fish their male counter-parts ... consistantly enough to make it stand the litmus-test in the stats-department .... be it the JP or just fish caught !!

In the K of C club (aka diaper brigade) a couple of talented girls/ladies most usually have the better sack of fish at the end of the day !!

I remember a photo of the look a guy gave one of your members at the moment of being thouroughly trounced on the weigh-in .... priceless ......
