Apollo Park Fishing Derby 2009

its nov 7 this will be my first derby.

1. will anyone else be there?

2. does anyone have any advice for me? i mean not your super secret spots or anything but what kind of lures/bait to use?


i have caught fish there many of times a 4-5 lb cat and a bunch of baby karp.

so i know somewhat where to fish but any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I've done the tourney many times, probably will be there again. Get there early it gets real crowded. Use no more than 4 lb test - smal jigs works best - Dont buy the hot dogs, bring a breakfast burrito.

5 am, if you want to pick your spot. in the past we have brought all the breakfast materials and cooked pancakes, eggs, and bacon in line.
