Fished Belmont Shores area, starting at 6:30. Excellent conditions. A lot of life in the water this morning. Started DPing at gray light and landed a shorty on the jerk shad.

Switched back and forth from DPing and throwing hard baits. Hooked into this legal on the LC.

Trying to make things interesting and started to throw the Big Hammer for this guy . . .

I was trying a lot of stuff today with emphasis on the hard baits (Krocs, Yo Zuri, LC, etc.). Seemed to be a window of opportunity an hour just before high tide which was when I hooked the two on the LC. I got hit on the Kroc, but no love on the Yo Zuri. I really like the colors that they're available in but, today, the fish didn't. In between hard baits, I would try some soft stuff- mainly the jerk shads, then later to the anchovy Big Hammer. Lots of short bites on the jerk shad- could've been tomcods, etc. I was out by 11:30.
