I had a few hours before varisty football and decided to run down to Pyramid. Boy, was the fishing tough for striper trolling. Some places had algae beds at 30 feet! Anyway, no stripers but did get some smallmouths on 3in curly tail grubs boucning them off deep ledges..fun fishing..good luck to those at Striperfest..I'm headed to the Edwards Open House!!

Sounds like you left to the Edwards Open House around the same time I did. It took 2 1/2 hours to go from Rosamond exit to the parking lot for us. I wonder if the north gate was better? By the time we got there and got in, it was pretty much over. Food vendors out of food and many out of water with just sodas to sell (not good for a good thirst quench). Seems like a huge crowd was there today. Oh and good job on finding some fish.

yup, it was A LOT of people today!! I've been here 16 years and this was one of the worst traffic wise.. I guess not having one since 2006 didn't help either...
