i came home and lying on my bed was a shimano crucial-dx72mh.what a girl,:Envious:she told me she didnt know what reel to buy?what do you guys think,its a spinning rod.

im more of an inshore fisherman,i like to take my boat around the breakwater in cabrillo.but bonito,a lil perch ,calicos,etc.and we are on a lil budget.

Congrats on the upcoming wedding, seems like you got a keeper.
On a budget you might consider the Pfluger President 6735 for $60 at Bass Pro this is an excellent reel for the price, I baught 2 for my son (1big 1small) and he uses for fresh and salt 2years old now and no corrosion, super smooth drag. Plus, they come with a spare spool.

The charter i was looking at was a 21 day SM Bay trip. Thats 105 sculpins for me. :Big Grin:
