Got a day off from work, decided to give Lake Skinner another try. Got to the lake around 6:15 in the morning and still had to wait in line. There were about 15 cars and a few boats in front of me. However I still managed to toss my Rat-L-Trap before sunrise and caught me a dink. After that, I changed to Lucky Craft Sammy 115 Ghost Minnows and caught me a 14 and a half inches LMB and followed by 3 gills on mealworms. As soon as the sun came up, it was dead all day not even a single bite. Since I didn't want to stuck in truffic, I decided to stay until they close. Right before they closed, I managed to pull out another gill and that's it. I ended up with 4 gills and 1 little tiny striper. :Big Grin:

Nice gills. They are one of the best eating fish, right up there with crappies.

Did you use bober or fish off the bottom for the gills?

I just fish off the bottom using mealworms with drop shots setup.

If you want to catch those gills, you have to find them. Especially, when you fish from shore, you have to move around a lot. To me, I was kinda lazy that's why I only caught a few. Anyway, good luck and have fun fishing out there...
