I bought a unbrella rig and what is the best way to rig it up. Do you use leaders on it .and do use weights on the shadbaits.what size of shadebait do you use .what colors do you prefer. Thanks for all your help.

That's sad!
I see 61 people have peeped this post and no one has Jack to say?
I guess these boyz can't stand the comp!

Here is the deal, you run three hook baits.
From what I have been told, they should be the same size, same color.
Rum them on leaders 9"-18" should get-her-done.
The size should be 3"-5".
As for color, chartuse, white, yellow.
Go kill some fish

But don't troll in my wake!

I actually just started to experiment with umbrella rigs. I use those little Storm baits and just match the hatch at the particular lake Im fishing. If the fish are hitting on small Shad then I go with small shad imitating Storm baits. I like the Storm baits becasue they are cheap (Wallyworld) and mimic a Shad nicely. I've experimented with leads of 18-24". Be careful here. Too long a leader equals too many hassles with your line.

Interesting!
I may have to try some new things.
Caution those bait, and line sizes are off the hook!

Good luck
