Went up with my girlfriend last weekend. Did great at Lake Mary in the late afternoon two days in a row on the East side of the lake. So was everyone else. Inflated nightcrawlers did the trick for us.

Reeling one in a little after six. Everyone was catching fish.

Fishing slow but Lundy is always pretty to look at.

Stopped by Saddlebag on the way back from Yosemite and it was slow there. Went up to Virginia Lakes and it was slow there too...

Fall colors not hitting their peak at June and Lundy this past weekend but anyone going there this coming weekend will probably get lucky. Bring your camera. Great weather is expected this weekend starting on Thursday.

Stopped by the Chevron Mini Mart in Big Pine on the way home and decided to try the burritos there. They are awesome and huge. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I shared one at the rest stop between Big Pine and Independence. Really nice rest stop, super clean bathrooms, picnic benches in the shade next to a little stream. Hopefully, the one in Coso Junction will be renovated as nice as this one.

It is also so nice to have four lanes all the way from Bishop thru Independence. By next year the stretch from Independence to George's Creek will be done too completing the stretch to Lone Pine.
