I was going to ask the same question. CSUN is hurting big time, which in turn is hurting me.

I'm sorry to say, but welcome to the club no-one wants to be a part of. I got the lay off notice December 1 last year.

That sucks massive (OO) Sorry to hear that man. They have put a hold on enrollment for Spring 2010 and possibly Fall as well. That along with 20% raise in tuition and 10% deduction in teachers pay ANDDDDD the limitation of available classes.

Ray Lopez,
Sorry about the pink slip, I, too, am laid off. It must be catching. I, too, am, also, a bass-a-holic!!!!

Hey man, I totally understand. I also work in education. I'm a PC/Network Specialist at Barstow College. We've been lucky so far...no layoffs...but we'll see how long that lasts. When Victor Valley College capped enrollment they all came to us. Now we have to look at capping too. Bummer for the kids. It was tough enough...now they have to shop around just to find the classes they need in core groups.

PM sent on possible opportunity.

it does suck but at the same time opens me up for new adventures. I just made a poll to see what people think of my ideas.

I want to focus on teaching others to fish and possibly do some sort of local newsletter and web blog on tips and tricks and advise of gear. This could be a huge step in a direction i want to go. Fishing is a huge part of my life and i love to fill up my time off with helping others. Who knows what might come of this. Helping others is good karma and possibly something good might come my way if i try to focus on this.
