I'm going camping this weekend at South Carlsbad State Beach. I'm bringing along a friend who hasn't fished since she was a kid and I want to get her on some surf perch. Have the BSP been pretty good lately?

About 2 weeks ago I caught a few BSP in a short amount of time in the Santa Barbara area, so Carlsbad should still be good. Surf fishing is great if you really want to catch some fish. Make sure to buy some of those 2" GULP sandworms and she will be sure to catch a few fish.

yeah i got plenty of sandworms. as long as perch are in season i'll put her on some :) those little guys are fun to catch... gonna keep a few for dinner on the campfire too.
