Will be heading up to Old Station/Burney area to fish Hat Creek, Pit River, and Baum Lake, probably more places too. Don't know what the water conditions will be like since weather predictions say rain is on it's way and with the lightening strike fire that happened a month ago don't know how dirty the creeks will be. Baum Lake should be ok, probably the Pit River also, but at least it'll be my last chance of the season to get away to some great fishing. I'll be up there for three days of fishing, too bad the drive is 10 hours+, but I love that area and the good eating trout that are there. Maybe I'll be able to out-do my best catch, nineteen 1.5 lb to 2 lb rainbows in two hours of fishing. That kind of fishing you just can't turn away from, so it's my last Northern California fishing trip for the year. Anyone know the conditions of the Pit River? Got to try for those big brown trout there. Thanks in advance for any info.
