Dude, you'll catch waaaaay more catfish with if you carve your swimbait out of fresh bonito or skipjack.

I think a good angler is better than any equipment you can buy. You will eventually know exactly when you have a bite if you fish often. I can see that bite detector not working too well and what if you have a snag or something, lol?
