were is sunset beach and is that a launch ramp a camping in the background?

I don't know where those pictures were taken from, but I do know it was not taken from sunset beach as the article indicates. Sunset beach is flat and sandy with no cliffs, no rocks and no road. In another post, someone said it was off sunset blvd up near santa monica.
