2 dinks better then nothing @ Castaic 10/06/09

Decided to hit up Castaic Upper Lake today hoping for a lot of boils actions. It turned out to be different. As soon as I got down to my old spot, saw small stripers chasing after minnows. I hurried cast my top water lure (Sammy Lucky Craft 128) out there and caught me a dink. Recast the second time and caught me a 20" LMB. :Shocked: First I thought it was a big striper, but that's ok it put out a good fight too. :LOL: After I caught another dink, there was no more boil not even a single minnow swimming around. It was dead for about 2 to 3 hours so I decided to walk around and tried casting my lure in a small cove at the old launching ramp hoping to catch me another LMB, but nothing happened. So, I went to the long point and casted left and right a long the shore for about 4 to 5 times still nothing happened. Little disappointed and about to walk away then I saw a small boil so I hurried cast my lure out there. I missed the target so I reeled it back in fast and recast it then "BAM" hooked up. Again not striper, but another 18 an a half inches LMB. :Shocked: I was wondering what happen to all the big stripers. Where did they all go? :Sad: After that the win start to blow stronger and stronger. Couldn't handle it and decided to call it a day around 1:30 PM. Brought home only 2 dinks for Khmer Sour Soup. :Big Grin:

dude wtg, thats bigger than any bass ive ever caught
