I had a Perris 1/2 day trip on Monday. I took out Keith, Lee and Paul.... They wanted to get out to Perris and enjoy a morning on the lake...
Despite the bluebird skies, high presure, full moon and no breeze....we were still able to put fish in the boat.
All of their bass came in 23-30 ft of water on small plastics and reaction baits.
I dont know exactly how many they caught but it was somewhere around 6-8 bass each and they were off the water by noon. 18-20+ fish for them by noon...not to bad considering the conditions. Thats not counting the 2-5 fish each that they lost.....hahaha

The bass are on the move at Perris big time... and lots of bait in all depths.

I went back out in the afternoon from 2-4:30 and caught 11 bass in deeper water 30-38ft on both plastics and reactions...those fish didnt bite in the morning...
Here are some from their day...

I think that there were a few things that made the afternoon better for the deeper bite.
1st there was a full moon the night before so those deep bass probably fed most of the night so they went lock jaw for 8-9 hours afterwards. This would be my 1st choice as a reason.
2nd thing that may have contributed to the bad deep bite early was that there was no wind in the morning and the water was stagnent. In the after noon the breese blew intermitantly which created a little current on the water which probably stirred things up a bit and made the bait and bass start to move around.
3rd- I wasnt even metering fish on some of my deep spots early in the morning but when I went back in the afternoon, there they were ready to chew...so maybe just maybe they were shallower and moved to their deeper feeding areas following the bait once the sun got high.

4th- Or maybe the high presure started to level off or come down as the day wore on...

Those are my thoughts on the situation..
