Im gonna be going out on a 2.5 day trip next weekend for about $500. I noticed that the same boat has the same 2.5 day in early november with a price tag of $325. Thats a huge difference. Also there are hardly any multi days running into November. Im not too familiar with the offshore scene yet, but its seems weird that everything ends right on october 31. Is the fishing gonna just die off 4 weeks from now?

Oct/Nov is usually the timeframe for the San Diego boat's to switch to 7-10 day trips. That's when the bigger fish start to show up further down south. As for the local scene the water temps would be getting colder so the yellowtail, tuna, dorado would have moved on with the warmer water temps.

2.5 day trip out of SD in November my guess fish day one offshore IF there's still any action, or fish San Martin or Colonett for rockfish and lings and maybe yellowtail on the dropper loop or yoyo. Day 2 could be the same thing or head up the line a bit and fish closer to shallow water for bass and other assorted fish.
