We found the bite to be tough at Vail on Sunday. We arrived around 6:30 am and began with topwater lures. Metered lots of bait and fish in deeper water. Used plastics and artificial baits. Went to deeper water techniques and couldn't really get them to bite. I looked for shad and fish moving to shallower water but found little activity. Cooler weather and wind were factors with the afternoon gusts making it harder to fish. Carp still busting all over the place.
Spoke to some other guys who also found the bite to be tough. Off the water by 3:00 pm. What's that they say, A day of fishin beats.....! It did.:Wink:
