View Full Version : Castaic Top Water 10/03/09.

I've been fish in the morning for awhile......so today, I tried for the afternoon bite. I went to the main ramp check to see any boils, but none to be found while I was there, so I moved to the west ramp.....there were some boils to be had, but all of them just out of casting range.
When the life guard anounced the lake is close....they starting to boils.....
I got my limit in 1/2hr, mostly schoolie and 2 nicer one mix in.....
The big one on Top Water lure, others on Mini Skinny Shad.

Way to go!

I spent the day taking the kids to the Oktoberfest in Montrose. A limit of stripers sounds MUCH more fun! LOL! :Envious:

what kind of bait do you use to fish for stripers?
Never fished for them and I want to try it out.

Thank you guys for the props. The boils are hit & miss most of the time, if you happens to be at the right time & place, you'll get em big time.
Hopefully the cold front won't turns of the bite.

These two are the lures I used yesterday. I got mostly small schoolies on this one.
1/2oz Mini Skinny Shad (rattle trap).

Nice job uncle khanhy,,,

My dad caught about 4 or 5 Striper on the KPN 4" Skinny castaic shad in flat water and about 3 or 4 chased it.... also 2 or 3 stripey on boils,2 bass, and 1 FAT 7lb+ Bass!!! I'll be ordering some more soon bro,,,:Wink:
