Hi Troutman65,

You know the old saying ..... 'If ya can't dazzle 'em with brilliance ... ya baffle 'em with Bulls**t'. :)

Great fun,

Cool report as always!

That is a weird looking fish attracting device (FAD). I read about them in Hawaii and other places of the world, and I wonder why we don't have any in SoCal. On the other hand, we do have extensive artificial reefs.

Once again, leave it to the ingenuity of the Japanese to be on the forefront of fishing technology!!

Hi sansou,

Thanks. I read in detail on that particular program and although it was meant to help the commercial fisherman ..... RECORDED success is very disappointing to them. It's a five year program and they're a bit worried the program might not go as expected.

Hey JapanRon,

As usual, your report is one of those things that I look forward reading each week even more then the Sunday Newspaper. It is one of those things that I can truly sit-down on a lounge chair with a laptop and my coffee and read it from “cover to cover” spending a lazy morning or relaxing at the end of the day. As always, thank you very much for the wonderful reports you write, this forum is very lucky to have a talented fisherman/reporter.

Totally agree with Hawkeye. JapanRon is the " Brandon Hayward from WON" of the FNN.

Alot of work and a real love for the sport. I too enjoy reading your weekly article-- even if I tend to disagree once in a while....

Sometimes I try to butt heads with JR and end up sucking up to him...

Thank you for the kind words. It's guys like you that I enjoy sharing the experience with although one of my major missions to to get folks out on the water and even more importantly helping the newbie understand the moo-moo experience a little better and encouragement to take it for what it is...... having fun.

Hi deanhall32,

It's always good to have a few folks willing to put their own perspective out there and up against just about anything/ and issue that is written about in this .... our shared community. Reflection thru writing is good but solid input (such as I can depend on you to provide) in answer to an offering is often even more enlightening. Gotta love the informative replies that have more of what one was looking for the the original thread post!

Everybody gets carried away sometimes .... and I am no less guilty than the next person ! ha ha Especially, eyeopening from folks such as yourself that do a lot of fishing various venues.

Thought the plastic tweek section was going to be an easy project. Now it's way over my head. I should've known....lol I'm also curious to what kind of knot do you use when joining flourocarbon leader with the spectra. Thanks again for always taking the time in writing a detailed report!
