Some of these responses are right on the money,,,
I fish there 2-4 x a week and it is not for the faint of heart, you have to work really hard and it takes a while to learn this lake. there are fish and some are really nice, but it does not come easy.. good luck let me know if you are going to fish it I will give you some info

a very difficult lake to fish, there are big fish in the Pit. Way too many idiots keep the bass they catch there, I bet there head glows after eating those fish.. The worst is during the spawn way too many idiots walking out with Bass on a stringer.. I can't for the life of me figure out why anyone in their right mind would want to eat a bottom feeding Cat fish out of that lake.

Peck is good, but you have to really spend some time there. If you go at night bring someone with you.

use the buddy system during the daytime too.

And if you plan on fishing during the evening time, be sure to park outside of the gates to avoid getting your vehicle locked inside the park when it closes.

if you do!!! get locked in one,, of the homeless will only charge you $20.00 to get your car out :) " so you don't have to call the po po to let you out, and give you a ticket as well

There are crappie in Peck I caught one on a rattle trap a few years ago. I recall catching a few back in the days (70s, 80s, and 90s) at Peck as well. If you take the time to figure Peck out you will catch fish but the same can said for any lake. Peck is harder to figure then most lakes. It looks really good and it can be but more often then not it's a real tough place to catch fish. Put in the same amount of time and effort just about anywhere else and you will probably have better results in the end.
